Obituary of Lewis Gordon Murray

MURRAY, Lewis Gordon - 76, Portage Road, died Monday, February 28, 2005, in Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Orangedale East, he was a son of the late Duncan and Tilla (MacInnis) Murray. Lewis was a farmer and fisherman, and adherent of Little Narrows Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, the former Ethel MacLeod; daughters, Lynn and Lisa, both of Dartmouth; sister, Jessie Mae Lewis, Wilburn; brother, John D., Orangedale. He was predeceased by an infant brother, Malcolm; sister, Mary Catherine Baker. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. today in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Whycocomagh. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in Little Narrows Presbyterian Church, Rev. Ron Sharpe officiating. Burial in Little Narrows Cemetery.
