Obituary of Earl Alton Wright

WRIGHT, Earl Alton - 74, Guysborough, passed away March 2, 2005, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish, after complications of diabetes. Born October 26, 1930, in New Harbour, he was a son of the late Aubrey Carl Wright and Elsie Jane (Sangster) Wright. He was predeceased by his brother, John Carl Wright. Surviving are his wife, Hope Heather (MacIntosh) Wright, and his children, Stephen (Mary) Wright, Barry Wright, Angus, Ont.; Daniel Wright, Harold (Alison) Wright, Warner Robins, Ga.; and Heather (Kevin) Landry, Westville; his 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Earl was a lifetime resident of Guysborough and was employed by, and later owner of B & G Jost Ltd. He was a member of the Lions Club and a one time Chief of Guysborough Fire Department. He enjoyed curling, golf and hunting, and was a founding member of these clubs and associations. Earl was a loyal, dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather, and he will be missed by all. Visitation in Wesley United Church today 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., with funeral service on Saturday, March 5, at 11 a.m. Arrangements under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home.
