DOYLE, Francis Howard
DOYLE, Francis Howard - 91, Little Dover, died February 8, 2004, in Canso Seaside Manor.
Born in Donkin, he was a son of the late Howard and Nalena (Borden) Doyle.
He was a retired school teacher having taught 35 years in various schools. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving with the Communications Unit. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 46, Canso, and a member of St. Agnes Church, Little Dover.
Surviving are his loving wife, the former Ruth Casey; daughters, Karen Landry (Ralph), Lower Sackville; Theresa Turnbull (Phil), Dartmouth; sons, Gerry (Dawn), Lower Sackville; Eddie (Verna), Little Dover; sister, Annie, Ontario. He was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, Vincent, Gus, Leo and John; sisters, Theresa and Mary.
Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. today in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Agnes Church, Little Dover, Rev. Daniel Boudreau officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Agnes Church Building Fund. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso.
