Obituary of Francis Howard Doyle

DOYLE, Francis Howard DOYLE, Francis Howard - 91, Little Dover, died February 8, 2004, in Canso Seaside Manor. Born in Donkin, he was a son of the late Howard and Nalena (Borden) Doyle. He was a retired school teacher having taught 35 years in various schools. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving with the Communications Unit. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 46, Canso, and a member of St. Agnes Church, Little Dover. Surviving are his loving wife, the former Ruth Casey; daughters, Karen Landry (Ralph), Lower Sackville; Theresa Turnbull (Phil), Dartmouth; sons, Gerry (Dawn), Lower Sackville; Eddie (Verna), Little Dover; sister, Annie, Ontario. He was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, Vincent, Gus, Leo and John; sisters, Theresa and Mary. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. today in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Agnes Church, Little Dover, Rev. Daniel Boudreau officiating.
