James Davis

Obituary of James Robert Paul Davis

DAVIS, James Robert Paul – Age 67, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at home in Lexington, Inverness Co. He is survived by his adoring wife, Joanne Davis of 47 beautiful years; sons, Christopher Davis (Kasia) (grandchildren, Paula and Gabriella Davis); Jamie Davis; daughter, Melissa Davis; cherished son-in-law to Jackie. Son to John Davis and Maureen DeCoste and raised by Irene and Jim Davis. Brother to Stacey Vickery (Chuck), Allen Davis (Gigi). He was predeceased by brother, John Davis (Suzanne). Cousin to Sandy Crim, Dawn Wallace and Jim Davis and was a loving uncle and cherished friend. James was a man of God who generously helped those around him. He was an avid fisherman with a special craft of fly tying. One of his favorite spots to fish was "The Meadows", in River Denys tossing his big red and white butterfly’s. James loved to walk the banks of the "Hearts" pool in the Margaree River with a Ross special at the end of his rod. James also had a passion for hunting, playing snooker and baseball in his younger years. James enjoyed the simple things in life, a phone call from a friend, a trip to town with the opportunity to run into a friend for a quick catch-up or a little stroll to the pond to feed the ducks. A favorite of James’ bible scriptures is John 11: Jesus said to, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?" We would like to give a special thanks to the staff of the Strait Richmond Hospital in the Dialysis Unit for all their help and kindness.
