HAYDEN (Brymer, Morrow), Hazel Maude - 92, Manchester, Guysborough Co., passed away on August 24, 2005, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Manchester, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary 'Mae' (Myers) Morrow. She was Postmistress of Boylston Post Office for many years. She was a Past Matron of the former Chedabucto Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, a member of Boylston United Church, and was a member of Chedabucto Curling Club for many years. She is survived by son, Kenneth (Frances) Brymer, Manchester; daughters, Elsie (Harold) Miller, Ottawa; Ina (Gordon) Pyle, Boylston; Evelyn Brouillette, Trenton, Ont.; Barbara Kelly, Toronto; Janet (J.B. 'Bud') Theriault, Gibsons, B.C.; Beverly (Cyril) Power, Port Hawkesbury; Laurel (Larry) Purcell, Dartmouth; daughter-in-law, Ruth Brymer, Los Angeles; brother-in-law, Eugene Simpson, Lower Sackville; sisters-in-law, Kathy Morrow, Eastport, NL; Mae Simpson, Boylston; Florence MacMaster, Port Shoreham; Hazel Hayden, New Glasgow; dearly loved by 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Alexander Brymer; her second husband, John Hayden; son, Charles Brymer; son-in-law, Robert Brouillette; brothers, Elmer, Hamilton, Elliot and Horatio Morrow; and sisters, Irene Pyle and Sophie Simpson.
Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. on Friday, August 26, in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, in Boylston United Church, Boylston, Rev. Leonard Oracheski officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Guysborough Options for Adaptive Living Society (GOALS), Guysborough Memorial Hospital Auxiliary or a charity of your choice. The family is grateful for the care provided by the doctors and staff of Guysborough Memorial Hospital, and for the kindness and assistance of her in-home caregivers, Beatrice Corkum and others.
