Obituary of James C. Simons

Mr. James ‘Jim’ Carmen Simons, age 58 of 10406 Natick Court, Richmond, VA died Tuesday, October 8, 2002 in Chippenham Hospital. Mr. Simons was the son of Lillie Maude Sawyer Simons of Elizabeth City and the late James Henry Simons. He was a postman with the U.S. Postal Service and a member of City Road Methodist Church. Besides his mother, Mr. Simons is survived by one sister, Judy Mayo and husband, Dickie, of Charlottesville, VA and two nieces, Megan Powers and Mandy Mayo. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 10, 2002 at 1:00 PM in Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, 405 E. Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC with the Rev. Charles McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow in New Hollywood Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the lobby of the funeral home and other times at the residence of his mother at 205 E.
