Obituary of Carol D. Lamb

Carol Dempsey Lamb, age 70, of 859 Four Mile Desert Road, Hertford, NC, died Tuesday, November 26, 2002, at the Albemarle Hospital. Mr. Lamb, a native of Perquimans County, was the widower of Renia Meads Lamb and the son of the late Louis Dempsey Lamb and Mary Ellie Ferrell Lamb. He was the owner and operator of C. D. Lamb, Inc. Mr. Lamb is survived by two daughters, Donna Stevenson, and her finance Neil Norman, and Glennett Spruill, and her husband Wesley, all of Hertford, NC; two brothers, Maxie Lamb, Sr., and James Lamb, both of Hertford, NC; two sisters, Hattie Harris and Florence Boone, both of Elizabeth City, NC; a half sister, Mildred Papouchous of Virginia Beach, VA; five grand children, Brad Stevenson and his wife Michelle, Kim Harris and her husband Buddy, Anne Cuthrell, Tyler Spruill, and Glenda Spruill; two great grand children, Ethan Stevenson and Haley Stevenson; his mother-in-law, Delia Meads of Elizabeth City, NC, and a son-in-law, Tommy Speight of Hertford, NC. He was predeceased by a daughter, Carolyn Lamb Speight. Funeral services will be Friday, November 29, 2002, at 2:00 PM at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel with the Rev. William Rembert and the Rev. Roland Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Stuart Meads officiating. The family will receive friends at the residence of the daughter, Mr. & Mrs. Wesley Spruill, 869 Four Mile Desert Road, Hertford, NC.
