Obituary of John V. Russell, III

John Vernon Russell, III, age 55, of 146 Texas Road, Old Trap, NC, died Sunday, November 24, 2002 in the Albemarle Hospital. He was born in Old Trap, NC; son of Margaret Forbes Russell Burgess of Old Trap, NC and the late John Vernon Russell, Jr. Mr. Russell worked as a Diesel Mechanic and served in the US Air Force. He is survived by two daughters; Michelle Mills of Lexington, SC, and Denise Norris of Elizabeth City, NC; two sons, John Vernon Russell, IV of Havelock, NC, and Brian Russell of San Diego, CA; three sisters, Darlene McDonald of Vanceboro, NC, Deloras Meads of Elizabeth City, NC, and Teresa Swinson of Old Trap, NC; one brother, William Russell of Old Trap, NC; and five grandchildren, Jessica Mills, Yoshi Russell, RexAnn Mills, Taylor Norris, and Ashley Russell. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 29, 2002 at 11:30 AM in Twiford’s Memorial Chapel with Pastor Al Thompson officiating. The family will be at the home of Margaret Burgess, 1394 South 343, Old Trap, NC. In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorial donations be made to The American Cancer Society, or the charity of one’s choice. Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, 405 E.
