Obituary of Doris Cox McLawhorn

Doris Mae McLawhorn Loving mother and grandmother Elizabeth City, NC Doris Mae Cox McLawhorn, age 75, of 908 Chestnut St, Elizabeth City, NC died Wednesday, January 1, 2003 at Pungo District Hospital in Belhaven, NC. She was born in Pitt County, NC, daughter of the late Roy Lee and Hattie Lang Cox and was the widow of Marvin Lee McLawhorn. Survivors include four daughters, Carolyn Doris Brickhouse, Linda Ruth McLawhorn and Judy Kaye Pierce, all of Elizabeth City, NC and Ellen Marie McNeil of Beauville, NC; six sons, Bennie Earl McLawhorn, Jimmy Lee McLawhorn, Marvin Ray McLawhorn, Donald Roy McLawhorn, Robert Alan McLawhorn and David Bruce McLawhorn, all of Elizabeth City, NC; three sisters, Ludie C. Taylor, Clara F. Cox and Winnie Crews, all of Kinston, NC; twenty one grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, January 4 at 2:00 PM in the New Hollywood Cemetery with Rev. Roland Cooper officiating. The family will be at the residence.
