Obituary of Donald Ray Tickle

Grandy, NC Mr. Donald Ray Tickle, age 82, of 110 Goose Wing Court, Grandy, NC died Wednesday, January 8, 2003, at Britthaven Outerbanks. Mr. Tickle was born in West Virginia, the son of the late Sidney Taylor Tickle and Sally Wallace Tickle and was the widower of Vada Snell Tickle. He was retired from the U.S. Civil Service. Mr. Tickle is survived by two sons, Donald R. Tickle and William L. Tickle of Grandy, NC; one brother, William Archie Tickle of York, PA, two grandchildren, Patty Doyle and Donald R. Tickle III; three great grandchildren, Megan Doyle, Lauren Doyle and Kevin Tickle. Graveside services will be Friday, January 10, 2003, at 2:00 PM in Laurel Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 9, 2003, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City and other times at the residence of Donald R.
