Obituary of Sybil G Brickhouse

Sybil Gallop Brickhouse, age 89, of Edgewater Drive, Harbinger, NC, died Friday, January 31, 2003 at Chowan Hospital in Edenton, NC. A native of Currituck County, she was the daughter of the late Isaac Murelle Gallop and Bertie Montaque Gallop, and was the widow of Herman Robert Brickhouse. She was a retired private sitter and a member of Powells Point Christian Church. Mrs. Brickhouse is survived by: one daughter Loretta Guard of Edenton, NC; two sons Gilbert Ray Brickhouse of Colington, NC, and Don Reed Brickhouse of Harbinger, NC; two brothers Ralph Lee Gallop and Herbert Gallop, both of Harbinger, NC; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters, Dorothy Outland and Edith Parker. A funeral service will be conducted Monday, February 3, 2003, at 11:30 AM in Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, by the Rev. James R. Huskins. Burial will follow in Powells Point Christian Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, February 2, 2003 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, and in the lobby of the funeral home immediately after the service.
