Obituary of Nancy Jefferson Warden

Nancy Jefferson Warden Retired NEHS Teacher Nancy Jefferson Warden, age 56, of 114 Jane Lane, Elizabeth City, NC, died Tuesday, February 25, 2003, at the Albemarle Hospital. Mrs. Warden, a native of Washington, NC, was the wife of Gordon Phillip Warden of the residence and the daughter of Connie Musser Jefferson of Burlington, NC, and the late Gravely Thomas Jefferson. A graduate of NC State, she was retired from the Elizabeth City ‘ Pasquotank County Schools Central Office as the SIMS and Math Coordinator and had taught at Northeastern High School. She was the office manager for New Colonial Cabinets. Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by a daughter, Nancy Leigh Warden of Kitty Hawk, NC; a son, Phillip Jefferson Warden of Elizabeth City, NC; two brothers, Tommy Jefferson of San Francisco, CA, and Dan Jefferson of Raleigh, NC. A graveside funeral service will be Friday, February 28, 2003, at 1:00 PM at West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. F. Joe Griffith officiating. The family will receive friends at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel Thursday from 7:00 to 8:30 PM and at other times at the residence.
