Obituary of Joanne Herman Hill

Grandy, NC Joanne ‘Jody’ Herman Hill, age 64, of 101 Basehit Road, Grandy, NC, died at her residence Monday, March 17, 2003. She was born in Plainfield, N.J. the daughter Olive Pearl Herman Tomasko, and was the wife of the late William Bill Hill. Mrs. Hill worked as a Pastry Chef with the Sanderlin Inn. She was a member of Jarvisburg Church of Christ, and a member of Powell’s Point Senior Citizens Club, she also worked at the Dairy Queen at Grandy, NC. Mrs. Hill is survived by two daughters, Christine Licoma of Long Island, NY, and Regina Carol Ferrell of Tampa, FL; two sons, Theadore Herman Hooban Sohn, Jr. of Clayton, NC, and Raymond Kenneth Sohn of South Mills, NC; seven sisters, Alicia Eshleman of FL, Shirley Brogdan of TX, Olive Morgan of OK, Ruth Rowland of TX, Elizabeth Bennett of NJ, Deborah Darmstadt of TX, and Patricia Skinner of DE; seven brothers, William Tomasko of NJ, Joseph Tomasko of TX, Dennis Tomasko of NJ, Andrew Tomasko of NJ, Norman Tomasko of DE, Ronald Tomasko of TX, and Richard Tomasko of OH; and six grandchildren, Vickie, John, Sicely, Joshua, Joseph, and Mitchell. Memorial service will be Thursday, March 20, 2003 at 4:00 pm in Jarvisburg Church of Christ with Minister Dennis Crehan officiating.
