Obituary of Milford Twine

Elizabeth City Resident Milford Ray ‘Mickey’ Twine, 79, of 710 Briarwood Road, Elizabeth City, NC, died Friday, March 21, 2003 at Chesapeake General Hospital. He was born in Perquimans County, NC to the late Oscar Keaton and Della Stallings Twine and was the husband of Llewellyn ‘Sis’ Sawyer Twine of the home. He was a heavy equipment operator for Stevenson Sand Company. Mr. Twine is survived by three sons, Milford ‘Buddy’ Twine, Jr. and family of Woodville, Steve Twine and family of Elizabeth City, and David Twine and family of Rhode Island; six daughters, Brenda Sawyer and family of Hertford, Patsy Brickhouse and family of South Mills, Judy Humphries and family of Powells Point, Sandra Gainey and family of Winterville, Linda Gregory and family of Shawboro, and Lisa Bullock and family of Bear Grass; eighteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted on Monday, March 24, 2003 at 2:00 PM at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by the Rev. Steve Strickland. The family will be at the residence.
