Obituary of George Edward Crain, Jr.

Greenville, NC George Edward Crain, Jr., age 55, of Greenville, NC, died Thursday, April 24, 2003. He was born in Pasquotank County son of the late George Edward Crain, Jr. and Myrtle Anderson Crain. He was an electrical engineer and a graduate of NC State University. He served in the US Coast Guard and was a member of First Christian Church. Besides his mother he is survived by one daughter, Amanda C. Thompson, and one son, Thomas Crain both of Raleigh, NC; two brothers, Jerry and Gayland Crain both of Elizabeth City, NC. Funeral service will be Saturday, April 26, 2003, at 2:00 pm in Twiford’s Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Brigman officiating. Burial will be in Old Hollywood Cemetery. The family will receive friends in lobby of the funeral home following the service. At other times the family will be at the residence, 628 Forest Park Road.
