Obituary of William “Billie” Forehand

William ‘Billie’ Forehand, age 90 of Shiloh, NC died Tuesday, April 29, 2003 at Maryview Hospital. He was born in Camden County, NC; son of the late William Gregory and Elizabeth Whitehurst Forehand and was the widower of Geneva Hughes Forehand. He was a retired independent insurance agent; a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and Hall Lodge # 53, a charter member of the South Camden Ruritan Club and the Camden Historical Society, Camden County Historian, a former chairman of the Camden Board of Elections, former member of the Camden County School Board, and served on the State Insurance Board. Mr. Forehand is survived by a daughter, Billie Faye Beavers and her husband, Glen, of Shiloh, NC; a son, Brian Forehand, and his wife, Ann, of Shiloh, NC; two sisters, Elizabeth Hall of Newark, DE and Ellen Garner of Norfolk, VA; a brother, Winfred Forehand of Norfolk, VA; two grandchildren, Jackie Beavers of Spindale, NC and Thad Forehand of Statesville, NC; and two great grandchildren, Faith Beavers and Geneva Blair Forehand. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, May 2, 2003 at 11:00 AM at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Dave Combs officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, 405 E. Church St., Elizabeth City, NC Thursday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 PM, immediately following the service at the church, and at other times at the residence of Brian Forehand, 104 Beech Tree Dr., Shiloh, NC.
