Obituary of Elizabeth L. Fletcher

Elizabeth City, NC Elizabeth Skiles Fletcher, age 85, of 1478 Weeksville Road, Elizabeth City, NC, died Wednesday, May 7, 2003. She was a native of Pasquotank County, was the daughter of the late Robert C. and Cassie Toler Skiles, and widow of the late William B. Fletcher. She was a retired Sales Clerk with Belk Tyler Department Store, and a member of Riverside Baptist Church. Mrs. Fletcher is survived by two daughters, Betty Russell of Burlington, NC, and Kay Fletcher of Winston-Salem, NC; three sons, William B. Fletcher, Jr. of San Antonia, TX, Bobby Fletcher of Elizabeth City, NC, David Fletcher of Kernersville, NC; two sisters, Evelyn Sawyer of Elizabeth City, NC, and June Taylor of Wilmington, NC; one brother, Norman Skiles of Charlotte, NC; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral service will be Saturday, May 10, 2003, at 11:00 AM, at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel with the Rev. John B. Jones officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. At other times the family will be at the residence of Bobby Fletcher, 1153 Four Forks Road, Elizabeth City, NC. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
