Obituary of Virginia B. Davis

Elizabeth City, NC Virginia B. Davis, age 82 of Warden St., Elizabeth City, NC died Thursday, May 22, 2003 at Albemarle Hospital. She was born in Pasquotank County, NC; daughter of the late Charlie Q. and Maybelle Hudson Baker. She retired from the Elizabeth City Hosiery Mill and was a member of First Christian Church. Mrs. Davis is survived by a daughter, Margaret D. Roughton and her husband, Terry, of Hertford, NC; four sisters, a brother, three grandchildren; Terry Roughton, Jr. and his wife, Gloria, Kenneth Roughton, and Kelly Roughton and his wife, Yvonne; four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, May 24, 2003 at 2:00 PM at the First Christian Church with Rev. Glenn Brigman and Rev. Bill Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, 405 E. Church St., Elizabeth City, NC on Friday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 PM and at other times at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Roughton, 240 Felton Lane, Hertford, NC.
