Obituary of Clarissa Waller

Clarissa Virginia Dyson Waller Pittsburgh, PA native Clarissa Virginia Dyson Waller, age 95, died June 14, 2003, at the home of her daughter in Palmyra, VA. She was born September 24, 1907 in Pittsburgh, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Midford Davison Waller and was the daughter of the late Robert Otterman Dyson and Anna Gunnerman Dyson. Survivors include a daughter, Edith Ann Waller Cartwright and husband William Robert ‘Bobby’ Cartwright of Palmyra, VA, two sons, Midford Martin Waller and wife Dorcas Cox Waller of Elizabeth City, NC, and Robert Dyson Waller and wife Susan Ense Waller of Roxboro, NC; a sister, Annabelle Dyson McCabe of Pittsburgh, PA; seven grandchildren, Leigh Waller LaBreak of Bradenton, FL, Wendy Waller of Elizabeth City, NC, Don Martin Waller of Kill Devil Hills, NC, Stacy Waller Bracamontes of Chandler, AZ, Jill Heather Cartwright of Richmond, VA, Jodie Cartwright Brinn and husband Scott Brinn of Moseley, VA, Clarissa Waller of Roxboro, NC; one great grandson and a great granddaughter on the way; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral service will be Wednesday, June 18, 2003, at 11:00 AM in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel and at other times at the residence of the son, Mr. & Mrs. Midford Waller, 106 Jason Drive, Elizabeth City, NC.
