Goldie Hutchinson Crocker
Former Secretary at the Pentagon
Mrs. Goldie Hutchinson Crocker, age 81, of Box 57 Pine Grove Lane, Point Harbor, NC, died Saturday, June 21, 2003, at Duke Hospital. Mrs. Crocker, a native of Wise County, VA, was the widow of George Amber Crocker and the daughter of the late Charles Bascom Hutchinson and Pearl May Peters Hutchinson. She was a former secretary in the War Department of the Pentagon and a member of Hebron United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Crocker is survived by three daughters, Bettie May and husband Scott, Fisher of Norfolk, VA, Catherine Lee, and husband Bobby, Whitlow of Clover, VA, and Judith Ann Schneider of Kill Devil Hills, NC; two sisters, Bonnie Ellis of Kingsport, TN, and Madeline Snead of Richmond, VA; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 24, 2003 at 2:00 PM at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Herbert Hemingway officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 7:00 to 8:30 PM and at other times at the residence.
