Obituary of Effie Creekmore

Camden, NC Effie Harris Creekmore, age 101, of 258 East 158, Camden, NC, died Friday, June 27, 2003 in Winslow Memorial Nursing Home. She was a native of Pasquotank County, NC, and a resident of Camden County for over 95 years. She was the daughter of the late Sophia Sawyer Harris and Richard Harris, and the widow of Bruce G. Creekmore. Mr. and Mrs. Creekmore operated The County Store in Belcross for over 50 years. She was a member of Sawyer’s Creek Baptist Church and Fidelis Sunday School Class. Survivors include a daughter, Pauline Creekmore of Camden, NC, several nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be Monday, June 30, 2003 at 11:00 AM in Old Hollywood Cemetery with the Rev. Tom LeGrand officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon 4:00 to 5:30 PM in Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, 405 E. Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC.
