Obituary of Elizabeth Gibbs Murden

ELIZABETH GIBBS MURDEN Native of Currituck County, NC Elizabeth Gibbs Murden, 89. of 230 Short Cut Road, Barco, NC died Wednesday, July 9, 2003, in the Albemarle Hospital. She was born in Currituck County to the late Thomas B. and Annie Sermon Gibbs and was the widow of the late William J. Murden. Mrs. Murden was a member of the Rehoboth Baptist Church, WMU and was devoted to her church and its members. Mrs. Murden is survived by several nieces, nephews and numerous friends. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 11, 2003, at 2:00pm in the Twiford’s Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in the New Hollywood Cemetery. The family will greet friends and relatives in the lobby of the funeral home immediately following the funeral. The family suggests memorial gifts be made to the Rehoboth Baptist Church, P.O.
