Obituary of Edwin Aydlett, Jr.

Edwin Ferebee Aydlett, Jr. Pasquotank County Native Edwin Ferebee Aydlett, Jr., age 82 of 1504 Parkview Drive, Elizabeth City, NC, died Wednesday, July 16, 2003, in Elizabeth City. A native of Pasquotank County, NC, he was the widower of Mary Blane Justus Aydlett and the son of the late Edwin Ferebee Aydlett and Essie Poag Aydlett. He was a Baptist, a member of Eureka Masonic Lodge #317 AF & AM, the Scottish Rites New Bern Consistory #3, and the York Rite Bodies, and a member of the Sudan Shriners. Mr. Aydlett is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Aydlett of the residence; a step-sister, Thelis Jones of Ahoskie, NC; a brother-in-law, William Allen Martin, Sr., of Greensboro, NC; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a little canine companion Nellie. A graveside memorial service will be Saturday, July 19, 2003, at Old Holly- wood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence and memorial donations may be made to the Masonic Home for Children in Oxford, NC. Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC, is in charge of arrangements.
