Obituary of Diana Bowers

BUXTON, NC DIANA LYNN BOWERS, 46, of Buxton, NC died Saturday, July 26, 2003 in an Elizabeth City hospital. Ms. Bowers was born in Rome, GA and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Hatteras Island Chapter 303 of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of Little Grove United Methodist Church. She was the daughter of the late James Freeman Crawford, Jr. and the late Barbara Sorells Crawford. Ms. Bowers is survived by two daughters, Barbara Ann Barnett of Buffalo, SC and Patricia Mae Smith of Skyco, NC; two sons, Cain Bowers and Corbin Bowers, both of Buxton, NC; a sister, Debbie Adams of Cedartown, GA; three brothers, Jimmie L. Crawford and Donald R. Crawford, both of Cedartown, GA and Dan Sherman of Rockmart, GA; and three grandchildren. Funeral services and Eastern Star Rites will be held at Little Grove United Methodist Church, Frisco, NC on Tuesday, July 29, 2003 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jim Huskins, Rev. Dwight Burrus and Rev. Charles Mosley officiating. Burial will be in the Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday evening from 8:00 to 10:00 pm.
