Obituary of William Rogers

MANTEO, NC WILLIAM BARTLETT (Willie) ROGERS, 86, of Manteo, died, Wednesday, July 30, 2003, in his residence. Mr. Rogers was born in Manteo and was retired as a self employed house mover. He was a member of Mount Olivet United Methodist Church and Roanoke Island Chapter of IOF, International Order of Odd Fellows. Mr. Rogers was the son of the late Valentine Sykes and Rennie Rae Basnight Rogers and the husband of the late Mildred Basnight Rogers. Surviving are two daughters; Martha R. Rogers of Herndon, Va and Faye R. Morgan of Ashboro, N.C. Three grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 2, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. in Twiford’s Colony Chapel. Burial will be in Manteo Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Alzheimers Association Inc.
