Obituary of Lucille H. Chappell

Lucille Holmes Chappell, age 81 of 113 Little River Run Rd., Hertford, NC died Wednesday, July 30, 2003 at Albemarle Hospital. She was born in Tyrrell County, NC; daughter of the late Lyman and Maybelle Hayman Holmes and was the widow of Charles Edward Chappell. She worked at Apricot Manufacturing in Hertford and was a Methodist. Mrs. Chappell is survived by a daughter, Joyce Bateman of Hertford, NC; two sons, Ronald Chappell of Hertford and Donald Chappell of Elizabeth City; five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, August 1, 2003 at 11:00 am in Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, 405 E. Church St., Elizabeth City, NC. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the lobby of the funeral home immediately following the service and at other times at the residence of Donald and Bonnie Chappell, 1729 N.
