Obituary of Lester Johns

MANTEO, NC LESTER ARTHUR JOHNS, JR, 44, of Manteo, died Monday, August 4, 2003, in his residence. Mr. Johns was born in Harrisburg, Pa and was employed as a painter with Ron and Phil’s Body Shop. Mr. John’s was a former member of the Pennsylvania National Guard as an E-5. He was the son of the late Lester Arthur and Doris S. Troutman Johns. Surviving are his daughter; Brittany Grace Johns of Manteo and his sister; Diana Johns of Port Orange, Fla. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, August 10,2003, at 3:00 p.m. in Twiford’s Colony Chapel by the Rev. Ron Denham with burial in Roanoke Island Memorial Gardens. Friends may join the family at Twifords Funeral Home, Saturday, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Twiford’s Colony Chapel is assisting the John’s family with arrangements.
