Obituary of Shirley James

Elizabeth City, NC Shirley Henderson James of Elizabeth City, NC went to be with the Lord on August 8, 2003 after a long illness. Born in Motherwell, Scotland, she was a homemaker and the widow of Vernon Grant James, Jr. She was baptized in the Manse Road Presbyterian Church of Scotland and a Born Again Christian for many years. Mrs. James is survived by a son, Vernon Grant James, III of the home; two daughters, Dallas J. Lane of Elizabeth City, NC and Jacquelynne Booth of Virginia Beach, VA; and two grandchildren, Charles T. Lane, Jr. and Amanda Lynn Lane. Mrs. James will be cremated.
