Obituary of Luella Stollings

Native of Manistee, Michigan Luella Racine Stollings, age 88, of 133 Coinjock Baptist Church Road Coinjock, NC, died Saturday, August 23, 2003, at Sentara Barco Nursing Center in Barco, NC. Born in Manistee Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Elzia and May Cloutier Racine, and was the widow of Thomas Edward Stollings. She was a homemaker, a member of St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Church in Maple, NC, a charter member of American Legion Post 288 in Coinjock, NC for twenty nine years, a member of the Fleet Reserve Association and William Clarence Jackson VFW Post 6060. Mrs. Stollings is survived by: two daughters Marie Ann Crouse of Moyock, NC, and Mary Jean Jones of Coinjock, NC; and one brother Jack Racine of Michigan; one sister Virginia Starns of California; ten grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren and eleven great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by one daughter Frances Luella Netherland. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2003 at 2:00 PM In the St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church in Maple NC with Father Jim Buchholz officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Church immediately following the service.
