Obituary of Mary Darnell

Mary Sophia Bowden Darnell, age 100 of Enid, Oklahoma, died Wednesday, August 27, 2003 at her daughter’s residence. She was born in Hillsborough, TX; daughter of the late Isaac Hillingsworth and Maudie Beatrice Johnson Bowden and was the widow of Mark Lively Darnell. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Enid. Mrs. Darnell is survived by a daughter, Beatrice Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Ferrell of Elizabeth City, NC; a son, Eugene Bowden Darnell of Enid, OK; four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. She was predeceased by two sons, Jack Hollingsworth Darnell and Lawrence Melvin Darnell. A graveside service will be Tuesday, September 2, 2003, at 2:00 PM in Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid, OK.
