Obituary of Walter B. Gregory

CHESAPEAKE – WALTER BURNS GREGORY, 75, died August 26, 2003 at his residence. Mr. Gregory was born in Little Rock, AR to the late, Robert B. and Maye Middendorf Gregory. He was a veteran, having served in the US Navy for over 30 years and had attained the rank of Master Chief. Mr. Gregory was predeceased by his daughter, Maye Ann Gregory. Survivors include his wife, Marge Duviou Gregory of Chesapeake; one son, Gene H. Gregory and his wife Faye of Windsor; four grandchildren Joy Mills and her husband Keith of Chesapeake, Gene Gregory Jr. and his wife Lynn of Smithfield, Everett Brown and his wife Michelle of Smithfield, and Cindy Dixion and her husband Eric of Magnolia, NC; three great grandchildren, Jonathan, Garrett and Jacob. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 6., at 11:00 am at Twiford’s Colonial Chapel, Chesapeake with Rev. Johnny McDonald officiating. Burial will follow with full military honors at Moyock Cemetery, Moyock, NC. with Rev. Doyle Wells officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to CHKD, P.O.
