Obituary of Bonnie Cooper

Native of Tyrell County, NC Bonnie Basnight Cooper, age 77, of 221 Poplar Drive, Elizabeth City, NC, died Friday, September 5, 2003 at Winslow Memorial Nursing Home. A native of Tyrell County, NC, she was born the daughter of the late Bill and Sudie Cullipher Basnight, and was the wife of William Cooper of the residence. Mrs. Cooper was a registered nurse and worked in home health care, and was a Pentecostal. Besides her husband, Mrs. Cooper is survived by: one daughter Bonnie Morton of Kenly, NC; one brother Cecil Basnight of Elizabeth City, NC; and one grandson Brannon Morton of Kenly, NC. A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, September 8, 2003 at 10:00 AM in Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Steve Strickland officiating. Burial will be in New Hollywood Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the lobby of the funeral home following the service, and at other times at the residence.
