Obituary of William Burroughs

CHESAPEAKE ‘ William ‘Bill’ Linwood Burroughs, 66, died September 7, 2003 at Chesapeake General Hospital. Mr. Burroughs was born in Norfolkto the late Linwood Garland and Iva Mae Boush Burroughs. He was a brick mason, an avid golfer and hunter and enjoyed bluegrass music. Mr. Burroughs was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Airforce. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Shirley Harris Burroughs; five daughters, Pamela Ferrell of Chesapeake, Leslie Mac Millian of VA Beach, Chris Midgett of Buxton, Diana Trueblood of Chesapeake, and Michelle Grimes of Corapeake, NC; one son, Lee Ferrell Jr. of Anderson, SC; one sister, Iva Mae Wolfe of VA Beach; seventeen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Twiford Colonial Chapel, Chesapeake on Wednesday at 7:00pm. The family will receive friends following the service and at the residence at other times.
