Obituary of Hannah Shannonhouse

Hannah S. Shannonhouse Native of Perquimans County, NC Hannah Stephens Shannonhouse, age 89 of 105 South Griffin Street, Elizabeth City, NC, died Saturday, September 13, 2003 at Albemarle Hospital. She was born in Hertford, NC, daughter of the late Patrick Leonard and Hannah Keenan Stephens and was the wife of Alfred Carver ‘A.C.’ Shannonhouse of the residence. She was a very active member of First United Methodist Church and a member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class. Mrs. Shannonhouse was a home maker and worked at one time as a L.P.N. at Albemarle Hospital. Besides her husband, Mrs. Shannonhouse is survived by a daughter, Gail S. Buckley and husband Dr. Thomas Buckley of Charlotte, NC; a son, James S. ‘Jim’ Shannonhouse and wife Sandra of Arlington, TX; six grandchildren, Ed, Teresa, Kelly, Neil, Mike, and Lori; and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five sisters. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2003 at 2:00 PM in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Clyde Denny officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 and at other times at the residence. Memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church, P.O.
