Obituary of William Trueblood

WILLIAM H. TRUEBLOOD Pasquotank Co. native William H. Trueblood, 60, of 3053 W. Main Street, Extd, Elizabeth City, NC died Monday, September 22, 2003, in the Norfolk Sentara Hospital. He was born in Pasquotank County to Geneva Modlin Trueblood and the late Clarence Trueblood. Mr. Trueblood was a retired self-employed diesel mechanic and a member of the Berea Baptist Church. Besides his mother, Mr. Trueblood is survived by his wife of 43 years, Dollie Bateman Trueblood, a daughter, Lisa T. Matthews and husband, Chris, of Kill Devil Hills, NC; two sons, Michael Wayne Trueblood and wife, Bonita, of Shawboro, NC and William ‘Buddy’ Trueblood of Ohio; one brother, Kent Trueblood of Lake Gaston, NC. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Christopher, Savannah, Moody, Heather, Tyler, Levi, and Wyatt and a great granddaughter, Melanie. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 26, 2003, at 2:00pm in the Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, 405 E. Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC by Rev. Glenn Greenway. The family will greet friends and relatives in the lobby of the funeral home immediately following the service and at other times at their residence.
