Obituary of William Lilly

Elizabeth City, NC William Pete Lilly, 66, of 1706 West Main Street, Elizabeth City, NC died Wednesday, September 17, 2003 at Albemarle Hospital. He was born in Perquimans County, NC to the late Nathan Pete and Mary Boyce Lilly and was the husband of Margaret Husky Lilly of the residence. He was retired from civil service at the United States Coast Guard Base and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Besides his wife, Mr. Lilly is survived by two sons, Billy Lilly and Brian Lilly both of Elizabeth City, NC; three step daughters, Linda Denny of Shiloh, NC, Brenda Davis of Elizabeth City, NC, and Sandra Adkins of Tyner, NC; two sisters, Nancy Pate of Elizabeth City, NC and Louise Lamontange of Dade City, FL; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Lilly and a brother, Clarence Lilly. A funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, September 21, 2003 at 2:00 PM at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel by the Rev. Joey Hobbs. Burial will be at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the lobby of the funeral home immediately following the service. A visitation will be on Saturday from 7:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
