Obituary of Rebecca V. Chaplin

Rebecca Marie Vandevender Chaplin, age 54, of 108 Wedgewood Drive, Moyock, NC, died Friday, October 24, 2003, at her residence. Mrs. Chaplin, a native of Circleville, WV, was the wife of Kenneth Richard Chaplin, Sr., of the residence and the daughter of the late Adam Henry Vandevender and Bessie Marie Vandevender Vandevender. She was a homemaker and a Southern Baptist. Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Bessie Zurface of Moyock, NC, and Alice Barefoot of Kill Devil Hills, NC; two sons, Kenneth Chaplin, Jr., of Richmond, VA, and Eric Chaplin of Moyock, NC; two sisters, Patricia Griffin of Newport, RI, and Kathy Eastman of Jacksonville, FL; two brothers, Fred Vandevender of Newport, RI, and Jun Vandevender of PA; and seven grandchildren. A memorial service will be Monday, October 27, 2003 at 11:00AM at Moyock Baptist Church with the Rev. Vic Ramsey officiating.
