Obituary of James Strock

Native of East Rochester, Ohio James Vernon Strock, age 66, of 1912 Providence Road, Elizabeth City, NC, died at his residence on Sunday, November 2, 2003. Mr. Strock was born in East Rochester, Ohio, son of the late William Melvin and Dorothy Virginia Syme Sheatsley, and was the husband of Janice Day Strock of the residence. He was a retired machine shop supervisor at Allied Signal, Aerospace Division, and a member of the Elizabeth City Loyal Order of the Moose. Besides his wife, Mr. Strock is survived by: two daughters, Shannon Huff of Elizabeth City, NC and Julie Harpt of Arizona; three sons, Bradley Strock, Edward Strock, and Scott Strock, all of Ohio; two sisters, Shirley Wolf of Ohio, and Kay Copeland of Georgia; and six grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held at a later time. Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC is in charge of arrangements.
