Obituary of Emmett Stallings

EMMETT TIMOTHY STALLINGS Resident of Hertford, NC Emmett Timothy Stallings, 93, of 652 Chapanoke Road, Hertford, NC died Monday, November 10, 2003, in the Albemarle Hospital. He was born in Portsmouth, VA to the late Edward Parker and Mary Elizabeth Layden Stallings and was the widower of the late Geraldine Griffin Stallings. Mr. Stallings retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, a member of the Oak Grove United Methodist Church and the Perquimans County Masonic Lodge #106 AF & AM. He is survived by a son, Ronnie Stallings and wife, Kay, of Hertford, NC; one grandchild and three great grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, November 13, 2003, at 2:00 PM in the Highland Park Cemetery, Elizabeth City by Rev. Dustin Sprouse with Masonic rites to follow by Perquimans Masonic Lodge #106 AF & AM. Twiford Funeral Home, 405 E. Church St., Elizabeth City, NC is in charge of funeral arrangements.
