Obituary of Evelyn Smith

EVELYN KIRBY SMITH Perquimans County native Evelyn Kirby Smith, 92, of 1700 W. Ehringhaus Street, Elizabeth City died Tuesday, November 18, 2003. She was born in Perquimans County, NC to the late Samuel H. and Irene Dail Kirby and was the widow of the late Lewis Smith and the late Haywood Proctor. Mrs. Smith was a member of the First Christian Church, Loyal Women’s Bible Class, Rebecca Lodge #62, and a member of the United Methodist Women in Winfall, NC. She is survived by numerous friends. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, November 20, 2003, at 2:00pm in the Twiford Memorial Chapel, 405 E. Church St., Elizabeth City by Rev. Dr. Glenn Brigman. Burial will be in the West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Family and friends will gather in the lobby of the funeral home immediately following the chapel service to visit and fellowship.
