Obituary of Lloyd Herman Flowers

Elizabeth City, NC Lloyd Herman Flowers, age 89, of 106 Ranch Drive, Elizabeth City, NC, died Tuesday, January 6, 2004, in Winslow Memorial Nursing Home. He was born in Wake County, NC, son of the late Lemuel Hardy Flowers and Minnie Deans Flowers. He was husband of Lucille Proctor Flowers of the residence. Mr. Flowers was Transportation Supervisor with the Pasquotank School System, and a member of Corinth Baptist Church. Besides his wife, Mr. Flowers is survived by one daughter, Becky Scott and her husband, Joe, of Elizabeth City, NC; two sons, Howard Flowers and his wife Clarice, and Jimmy Flowers and his wife, Diane, all of Elizabeth City, NC; three sisters, Daisey Hobgood of Rocky Mount, NC; Ollie Mae Murphy and Pearl Overstreet, both of Wilson, NC; six grandchildren, Pam Flowers Edwards, James A. Flowers, Tammy Scott Chesson, Danny H. Flowers, Timmy Scott, and Jeffrey L. Flowers; nine great grandchildren. Funeral service will be Friday, January 9, 2004, at 2:00 PM in Twiford’s Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Roy Head officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM, and at other time at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Scott, 106 Ranch Drive, Elizabeth City, NC.
