Obituary of Mildred Cherry

Mildred M. Cherry Chesapeake ‘ Mildred Merrill Cherry, 84, died January 13, 2004 at Chesapeake General Hospital. Mrs. Cherry was born in Beaufort County, NC to the late Albert and Mattie Small Merrill. She was the widow of John W. Cherry Sr. Survivors include four daughters, Hellen Gattis of Norfolk, Elizabeth Parker of Moyock, NC, Mary Bradshaw of Crowley, WY, Nancy Cherry of Chesapeake; one son John Cherry Jr. of Columbia, NC; one brother, Leland Merrill of Athens, GA; seven grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 pm at Twifords Colonial Chapel, Chesapeake with Chaplin Bron Forrester officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
