Obituary of Wallace Gray

Avon, NC Wallace Richard Gray, Jr., 29, died on Thursday, January 22, 2004 at an Avon Medical Center. Mr. Gray was born in Elizabeth City, NC and was a painter for the West Wade Construction Company. He was a member of the St. John’s United Methodist Church and a graduate of Cape Hatteras High School. He was the son of Wallace Richard Gray, Sr. of Avon and Cherri O’Neal Quidley of Buxton. Besides his parents, he is survived by one sister, Jessica Leigh Price of Raleigh; Paternal grandfather, Willard G. Gray of Avon and Maternal grandmother, Loretta O’Neal of Buxton. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2004 at 2:00 PM at St. John’s United Methodist Church with Rev. Susie Fitch-Slater officiating. Burial will take place in the Scarborough Family Cemetery, Avon. The body will be placed in the church Friday afternoon and the family will be receiving friends that evening from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
