Obituary of Robert Jankech

Frisco, NC Robert Patrick Jankech, 67, of 50175 Blackbeard’s Court, Frisco, NC, died Tuesday, February 3, 2004 at his residence. He was born in Perth Amboy, NJ, son of the late Ludwig and Mary Pollack Jankech. He was an owner/operator of an Arnold Bread Franchise, an avid fisherman, a member of the Outer Banks Angler’s Club, a volunteer for Fish With a Ranger, and was a former employee of the Frisco Fishing Pier. Mr. Jankech is survived by his wife, Judith Betcher Jankech of the residence; a daughter, Lisa Durrua and husband Kenneth of Point Pleasant, NJ; a granddaughter, Arielle Durrua of Point Pleasant, NJ; two sisters, Maryanne Kneipher of Plainfield, NJ and Cynthia Jankech of Somerset, NJ; a brother, Louis Jankech of Phillipsburg, NJ; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cape Hatteras Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 249, Buxton, NC 27920 or to Dare Home Health and Hospice, P.O. Box 1000, Manteo, NC 27954. Twiford’s Island Chapel, Hatteras, NC is in charge of arrangements.
