Obituary of Charles Daniel

MANTEO, NC CHARLES BENNETT DANIEL, of Manteo, died, Wednesday, February 11, 2004, in Elizabeth City, NC. Mr. Daniel was born in Wake Forest, NC and was retired from the grocery industry as a truck transportation dispatcher. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He was the son of the late Needham Broughton and Mollie Williams Daniel and the husband of Mary Bowen Daniel of the home. Besides his wife surviving are three daughters, Marion Catherine York of Benson, NC, Marie York ( Beeper) Frees of Manteo and Vicki D. Wall of Wake Forest, NC; four sons, Charles Daniel York of Fredericksburg, VA, Benjie York of Mashoes, Ronald B. Daniel and Richard E. Daniel both of Wake Forest, NC; two sisters, Betty Timberlake of Youngsville, NC and Peggy Cooke of Raleigh, NC; three brothers, Homer Daniel and Ted Daniel both of Wake Forest, NC and N.B. Daniel of Blackstone, VA; 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A service of remembrance will be held Saturday, February 14, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. in Twiford’s Colony Chapel by the Rev.
