Obituary of Edith Lewis

Grandy, NC Mrs. Edith Lupton Lewis, age 62, of 795 Poplar Branch Road, Grandy, NC died Monday, February 23, 2004, at her residence. Mrs. Lewis was born in Currituck County, NC, the daughter of the late James Metrue and Edith Mintz Lupton and was the widow of Warren J. Lewis. She was a retired school teacher with the Camden Middle School and a member of the Poplar Branch Baptist Church. Mrs. Lewis is survived by one daughter, Denise Lewis Fallon of Grandy, NC; two sons, Warren Metrue Lewis of Grandy, NC and Robert Michael Lewis of Poplar Branch, NC; one brother, James Lupton of Little River, SC; and nine grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted Thursday, February 26, 2004, at 11:00 AM in the Baum Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Thorn officiating.
