Obituary of Ellsworth Midgett

MIDGETT MANTEO, N.C. ELLSWORTH BURRUS MIDGETT,Jr 79, of Manteo died, Sunday, March 14, 2004, in his residence. Mr. Midgett was born in Manteo and was a retired rural letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard He was the son of the late Ellsworth Burrus and Dorcas Midgette Midgett, Sr and the husband of the late Helen Meekins Midgett. Surviving are two daughters; Christine M. Nunemaker of Nags Head and Elizabeth M. Ray of Cary, N.C., one son; Ellsworth B. ‘Buddy’ Midgett III of St. Augustine,Fla, Seven grandchildren; Buzz Midgett, Sheila Paschal, Haley Midgett, Kevin Nunemaker, Karen Kelly, Zack Pesavento, Josh Pesavento, Courtney Dunn and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Midgett was pre-deceased by his son Terence ‘Terry’ T. Midgett. A celebration of life will be Wednesday, March 17,2004, at 1:00 p.m. in Twiford’ Colony Chapel by the Rev. Brad Bradshaw. Burial will be in Roanoke Island Memorial Gardens.
