Obituary of Bernice Copeland

Bernice Marie Copeland, 79, formerly of Elizabeth City and a resident of Wilkes-Barre, PA since 1992, died Saturday, March 27, 2004, in the Valley Crest Nursing Home, Wilkes-Barre, PA. Miss Copeland was born in Elizabeth City, NC to the late Claude Linwood and Sallie Frances Thompson Copeland. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Elizabeth City. She is survived by two brothers, Shelton Copeland of Hampton, VA and Richard Copeland of Wilkes-Barre, PA. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at 2:00pm in Twiford Funeral Home’s Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the New Hollywood Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial gifts be made to the First Christian Church, 701 Parsonage St., Elizabeth City, NC 27909.
