Obituary of Alethia Baum

Alethia Aydlett Baum, age 80, of 119 Robert Street, Camden, NC, died Sunday, March 28, 2004, at the Sentara Norfolk Hospital. Mrs. Baum, a native of Currituck County, NC was the widow of W. E. ‘Junior’ Baum, and the daughter of the late Mark L. Aydlett and Alethia Owens Aydlett. She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist church, the United Methodist Women, and the Currituck Christian Women. Mrs. Baum is survived by a sister, Ruth Aydlett Stone of Powell’s Point, NC; two brothers, Guy Aydlett of Portsmouth, VA, and Mark R. Aydlett of Newport News, VA. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 31, at 11:00 AM at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with the Rev. Glenn H. McCraine officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City, and will greet friends in the Church Social Hall immediately following the service.
