Obituary of Ella Riggs

Ella H. Riggs Native of Camden, NC Ella Hubbard Riggs, age 101, of 167 Wharf Road, Shiloh, NC, died Monday, March 28, 2004, at the Albemarle Hospital. Mrs. Riggs, a native of Camden County, NC, was the widow of Charlie S. Riggs, and the daughter of the late Martin H. Hubbard and Addie Burgess Baker. She was a homemaker and a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She is survived by four daughters, Doris Williams and Frances Adkins, both of Portsmouth, VA, Edith Harrison of Chesapeake, VA, and Mary N. Balance of Shiloh, NC; two sons, Martin B. Riggs and Bert W. Riggs, both of Shiloh, NC; forty-three grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and two great-great-great grandchildren; twelve step-grandchildren; and one step great-great grandchild. She was predeceased by a daughter, Ella M. Riggs; and four sons, Cale C. Riggs, Martin B. Riggs, Warren E. Riggs and Nolan M. Riggs; and four half-sisters, Margaret B. Leary, Mildred B. Harris, Ruby Slaughter, and Addie M. Thompson; and a half-brother, Frank Baker. A graveside funeral service will be Thursday, April 1, 2004, at 11:00 AM at West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
